We have been having lots of fun settling into our new classroom and exploring the different areas within the school.  We particularly enjoy playing in the home corner, dressing up and making new creations at the creative table.  This half term, our topic is ‘There’s No One Quite Like Me’.  We will be painting our own self-portraits, thinking about what makes us special, talking about our families and discussing when our birthdays are.  We are looking forward to having lots of new, fun experiences and laughs together as a class throughout the year.

Ash Class 2016-2017

ash-class

Welcome to Ash class.  We have settled in really well to life at school.  We have been busy exploring our new classroom and outdoor areas. We particularly love the home corner and have been excited to find the superhero costumes. There is often a Batman, Superman and Spiderman flying around the room!  We are beginning to learn each other’s names and those of the adults helping us. We have been learning about each other’s families and when our birthdays are. We even had a birthday party in the classroom, making cakes out of play dough for Ted the class bear.

Ahoy Me Mateys !

In Ash Class this week we have had a fantastic time learning about pirates.  We have made treasure maps, pirate menus, parrots, cutlasses, hats and boats.  We have learnt what pirates do and labelled pictures of pirates.  We have searched for pirate treasure and counted pirate coins.

May 2012 update

Ash Class has been taken over by 25 budding police officers!

Our ‘Police’ week started with the discovery that Fudge, our class dog, had gone missing. Our quick thinking officers spotted clues and identified the main suspects. Posters were thoughtfully written with excellent descriptions of Fudge, in the hope that he would be spotted and returned. After making police hats, warrant cards, handcuffs and taking finger prints we were lucky enough to be visited by PC Baker (a real police officer!) who returned Fudge safely to our class.
