Larch Class are delighted to be back at school, learning, being creative and having fun!
So far we have enjoyed listening to stories and exploring the Lion King through our topic of ‘Theatre and the Arts’.
We have made Lion masks in art and investigated the animals and landscapes of Africa in science and geography.
We are excited to continue our learning journey in year 2.

Larch Class 2019-2020

Welcome to Larch Class! We have been exploring who we are, how we are similar and what makes us unique. We have discovered we all like cake and stories. The Day the Crayons Quit has been a big hit! We have also had lots of fun using cameras to capture portraits of each other in art.
We are looking forward to the challenge of soaring to new heights in year 2!

Larch Class have made a great start to Year 2 and are settling really well.  We have discovered very quickly that we are a class that loves stories which has been evident in our English lessons and story time.  We are also a creative bunch with fantastic imaginations which we are keen to share.  We are looking forward to exploring our exciting topics this year and having lots of fun together.

Mrs Woodhead, Mrs Woodstock and Mrs Webb have been enjoying getting to know our new class.  It is lovely to see new friendships forming.
We are really enjoying class stories and have already explored Roald Dahl’s Enormous Crocodile and Francesca Simon’s Horrid Henry.
The children have produced some fantastic art work in the style of aboriginal hands and Paul Klee oil pastel portraits.
We are excited for the year ahead and our learning journey together.
