Chestnut Class 2021-2022

Say ‘hello’ to Chestnut class. The children have made a brilliant start to the year and are enjoying working together as a team with new friends. They have already taken part in their first trip to Forest School, which was a huge success and loved by everyone. Chestnut class is imaginative, friendly and hardworking and we are all looking forward to an exciting year ahead.

Chestnut Class 2020-2021

Chestnut class are an extremely creative class who have shown this through their amazing story writing, art work and musical instrument playing.  They are also very inquisitive asking lots of interesting questions particularly in topic lessons.
We are looking forward to learning together and having lots of fun along the way.

Chestnut Class 2019-2020

In Chestnut Class we are all six years old and will be seven before too long. Our teacher is Mrs Boyd and we also have Mrs Warden, who helps us learn.
This half term our topic is ‘Who do you think you are?’ and we have found out about what makes us and our teachers unique. Chestnut Class have found out about different pets the class have. Some of them are very unique! We have also enjoyed making up quizzes so that we can find out more facts about each other.

Chestnut Class 2018-2019

We are Chestnut Class, a year 2 class and our teacher is Mrs Boyd. In Chestnut Class we also have Mrs Warden and Mrs Heathers who help us too. In our class we are all 6 years old and all of us will be 7 before too long. This term we have enjoyed getting to know each other and finding out about where we live.
We are enjoying learning and growing together with our teachers. Our topic this term is ‘Around the World in 80 Days’. So far we have loved finding out about Mr Fogg’s first adventure to Egypt and we learnt how mummies were made. We are excited to continue his journey to find out where he went next.

Chestnut Class 2017-2018

Chestnut without

We are Chestnut Class and we are now some of the oldest children in the school.  Our teacher is Mrs Boyd and we also have Mrs Warden, Mrs Dymott and Mrs Webb who help us learn.
This half term our topic is ‘No One Quite Like Me’ and we have found out about what makes us and our teachers unique.  Chestnut Class have found that we have a lot of similarities too; we all love chocolate!
Our class especially enjoys art lessons and we have some very creative ideas.  On Dot day, we made one dot into interesting pictures like a wrecking ball, an alien or a flower.  They are all hanging proudly in our classroom.
