Windsor Castle 23/04/2026

On Thursday Year 1 went on a much anticipated trip to Windsor Castle. The children were really excited and there were lots of squeals of delight as we left on the coach. We managed to squeeze a lot into our day. We saw the Changing of the Guard from inside the castle, we visited St George's Chapel and we walked through the State Apartments and Queen Mary's doll house. We were so lucky to have Martin, our guide, teach us some new facts about castles and about how Windsor Castle was built. Did you know the castle is over 950 years old?

We were so lucky with the sunny weather and we all came home exhausted but happy!
